Cristina Bombieri is an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurosciences, Biomedicine and Movement Sciences at the University of Verona. Her primary research expertise lies in the genetics of cystic fibrosis (CF) and respiratory diseases. Her work has included studies on asthma control in young adults through population research, evaluation of treatment appropriateness, and control of severe asthma in real-world settings, as well as investigations on the general adult Italian population. Her most significant contributions in the CF field involve research on the functionality of the epithelial sodium channel.
