Developed skills and lines of research
Nicola Ivan Lorè obtained a degree in Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology in 2008 from the University of Milan and a PhD in Genetic and Biomolecular Sciences in 2012. His doctoral training focused on host-pathogen interactions in respiratory diseases in cystic fibrosis. His post-doctoral studies concentrated on inflammation and tissue damage control during chronic P. aeruginosa infections. Lorè works as a researcher in the Infection and Cystic Fibrosis Laboratory at the San Raffaele Scientific Institute, with a collaboration at the Institut Pasteur de Lille in France. He is the author or co-author of over 40 scientific articles. His current research interests include identifying modifier genes that influence the outcomes of respiratory infections and developing a new mouse model for cystic fibrosis.
