Developed skills and lines of research

Vincenzina Lucidi graduated in Medicine and Surgery at La Sapienza University of Rome. She subsequently specialized in Pediatrics and later in Gastroenterology at the same institution. She is currently the head of the Cystic Fibrosis Center at the Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital in Rome. For about 30 years, Bambino Gesù Hospital has been dedicated to treating patients with cystic fibrosis. Its clinical activities ensure a multidisciplinary model of high expertise, supported by the presence of physiotherapists, dieticians, and psychologists. The hospital also has all the essential specialized services and laboratories for diagnosing the disease, preventing, and treating the multi-organ damage caused by the genetic defect.

In terms of scientific research, Dr. Lucidi focuses on gastroenterology and microbiology in cystic fibrosis, with extensive experience as a Principal Investigator in clinical studies.
