Developed skills and lines of research
Mario Nosotti graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1981 from the University of Milan and later specialized in Digestive System Surgery and Digestive Endoscopy in 1986 at the same university. In 2003, he earned a second specialization in Thoracic Surgery. Since 2015, he has been an Associate Professor at the Department of Medical-Surgical Physiology and Transplantation at the University of Milan.
In the FFC Ricerca project, he proposed an important objective: preventing acute rejection after lung transplantation through the use of photopheresis as induction therapy, which could significantly reduce the number of acute rejections in treated patients, and also outline a profile of the typical patient who responds to this therapy.
Projects funded by FFC Ricerca as Principal Investigator or as Research Manager
