Developed skills and lines of research
Mauro Salvi is Associate Professor of Biochemistry and affiliated with the Department of Biomedical Sciences of the University of Padua. He obtained his degree in Biology in 1998 from the University of Padua and his PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics in 2003 from the Department of Biological Chemistry of the same university. His research interests mainly concern the field of post-translational modifications, in particular protein phosphorylation, of which he investigates the pathophysiological roles and regulatory mechanisms. He is a member of the Editorial Board of international scientific journals and is co-author of over 80 publications in peer-reviewed international journals with over 3000 citations.
