Developed skills and lines of research
Licia Totani obtained her degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1984 from the University of L’Aquila. In 1992, she then obtained a specialization in Internal Medicine, at the University of L’Aquila. Since 2007, she has been the head of the Vascular Biomarkers Unit of the Mario Negri Sud Consortium. In her research, she has pursued the goal of identifying the role of endothelial cells in inflammation in cystic fibrosis with the consequent possibility of innovative therapeutic interventions.
