Developed skills and lines of research
Gianluigi Zaza is currently an Associate Professor in the Nephrology section of the Department of Medicine of the University of Verona. He graduated in Medicine from the University of Bari in 2000 and specialized in Nephrology in 2005 from the same university. Dr. Zaza has been involved in the clinical and pharmacological management of kidney transplant patients. He has contributed to various research projects in pharmacogenomics in collaboration with many research institutes in the United States, with European universities and with the Department of Biomedical Sciences of the University of Foggia, Nephrology division, as well as with the Institute of Studies on Intelligent Systems for Automation (CNR-ISSIA) of Bari. For cystic fibrosis, he has carried out a project to improve the efficacy of immunosuppressive drugs in CF lung transplantation.
