The Italian Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation (FFC Ricerca) relies on 1040 Italian and foreign researchers to achieve its goals in scientific research, education and dissemination information on CF. FFC Ricerca’s objectives are achieved through the study of new effective therapies, evaluating their possible long-term effects, and on the increase of knowledge in different scientific areas in which the research initiatives are located.
The researchers’ activities are supported thanks to the fundraising carried out by over 5,000 dedicated volunteers organized into 150 Delegations and Support Groups active across all Italian regions that also raise awareness about CF and the Foundation’s initiatives.
The Foundation’s Delegations and Support Groups include people formally appointed by the Foundation to operate in their territories on its behalf creating a network in compliance with the Foundation’s statute and under its coordination.
The Delegations and Support Groups represent the heart and arms of FFC Ricerca, they are committed to fundraising activities and spreading awareness about CF. They also ensure a continuous exchange of energy and a spirit of renewal between the Foundation and the community.
Thanks to the significant contribution of the Delegations and Support Groups, the Foundation makes considerable progress every year in the research towards a cure for all.
