From 14 to 16 november 2022
Verona, Centro Congressi Camera di Commercio
The event is going to be held from 14th to 16th November at the Convention Centre of the Verona Chamber of Commerce and feature the presentations by the PI and partners of the projects active in 2024, as well as the Foundation’s Research Services. The Convention is mostly aimed at experts in the field, physicians and researchers engaged in cystic fibrosis-related activities. Anyone who is interested can follow the conferences via streaming after signing up through this link.
The 22nd Convention is divided into ten thematic sessions, which explore the various fields of cystic fibrosis research supported by the Foundation. At the opening of the event, Scientific Director Carlo Castellani will also be presenting the scientific dissemination projects promoted by FFC Ricerca.
This year’s novelty is about the projects funded in 2024, which will be presented as part of two flash sessions, during which the principal investigators will have 3 minutes at their disposal to provide an overview of the goals and any preliminary results of their studies. Further details will also be discussed before the posters during the poster sessions.
Finally, the Convention will host two keynote lectures: on Thursday 14th at 6 pm there will be a lecture by Pierre-Régis Burgel, from the French Reference Centre on Cystic Fibrosis: a lecture on clinical and in vitro data that can facilitate the access to modulators for people with cystic fibrosis and mutations lacking a therapy. Friday 15th at 5:05 pm, Marcus A. Mall of the University of Berlin will be discussing inflammations in cystic fibrosis.
The Convention of Investigators by FFC Ricerca is one of the main scientific events dedicated to made in Italy research on cystic fibrosis and gives the researchers involved the opportunity to consolidate the Italian research network and contribute to the international scientific scene. The event is also an opportunity to take stock of the progress made by the projects funded between 2022 and 2024. Therefore, FFC Ricerca offers all those who are interested the chance to follow the Convention’s conferences online: through the platform participants will also be able to send relevant questions to the speakers. The questions will be selected by the moderators of the single sessions based on the topics examined and the Convention’s schedule.
